How we’ve crafted a new standard of drinking chocolate
The Velvetiser loyalists amongst you will already know that our drinking chocolate system has always offered more than a beverage.
With our next edition, we’re granting chocolate aficionados more choice, more control, and more innovation, while never straying too far from our humble cacao roots in the process. Here’s how.
Hot and cold chocolate
Yes, you read that right. The ALL-NEW Velvetiser uses thermodynamic programming to deliver both hot and cold drinking chocolate at the turn of a dial. Cool off with a refreshing sip or curl up with a soul-warming beverage nestled between your palms.
Our hot serves use real chocolate flakes, which can be perfectly melted by our system. Our cold serves use finely milled, real chocolate, ideal for melding into a light, smooth refreshment.

Dial controls
Hot or cold? It’s as simple as turning a dial. This model has been thoughtfully re-engineered to produce cold and hot chocolate recipes — a first for our system, and a first in the industry.
Turn the dial right for hot. Watch your Velvetiser meld real chocolate flakes at 68 -70°C — the optimal, tried-and-tested melting point for ultimate flavour and texture.
Turn the dial left for cold. Your Velvetiser is uniquely calibrated to pulse at the beginning of the cycle, gently melding the finely milled real chocolate within our cold chocolate drinking sachets. Your ticket to sumptuous cold chocolate drinks.

Vortex-effect
The secret at the heart of our precision-engineered system? It’s the Velvetiser’s vortex effect. A truly mesmerising melding motion, powered by its InnerPod ridges and a custom-designed whisk.
When in operation, these elements work in harmony, folding your chosen chocolate and milk together, even in chilled temperatures. The whisk spins, folds, and gradually slows, while the carefully engineered innerpod ridges work to knock down larger bubbles, refining the texture as the drink settles. Together, the whisk and ridges transform milk and chocolate into a luxuriously smooth beverage with a satisfyingly velvet-smooth chocolate crema.
Intuitive use
Every detail of the ALL-NEW Velvetiser has been designed with you, our customers, in mind. What we’ve created is something tactile and intuitive.
- Press, pause, and pour. To craft your drinking chocolate, pour 220ml of your chosen milk into your Velvetiser (up to the maximum indicator line). Next, take your single-serve (hot or cold) and shake it well, then add it to the Velvetiser. Turn the dial left or right, press, and watch the magic commence. In just a matter of minutes, it’s time to pour, savour, and enjoy.
- A solid ash handle for left- or right-handed pouring.
- An LED-lit dial that highlights your chosen serve style. Red for hot, blue for cold.
- A removable whisk for fuss-free, stress-free cleaning.

Nature-inspired design
The ALL-NEW Velvetiser has been aesthetically designed to reflect our love for nature and the humble cacao bean — the real star of the show.
We decided to collaborate with Andrew Wicks, a renowned ceramist from the Royal College of Art, on the design of the Velvetiser, and we’ve never looked back since. Andrew is also the mastermind behind the design of our Podcup™ and Podglass™.
In Andrew’s words:
“Nature’s the most amazing designer, and so I looked to the organic shape of cacao when coming up with the elegant, minimalist style. I was set on achieving a simple, handmade quality, too — a complete contrast to typical modern kitchen appliances.”
