They had an inkling that the flavour combination of honey, the flake of pastry and the crunch of roasted pistachios present in Baklava would be every bit as exquisite in chocolate form. And they certainly weren’t wrong.
Pistachio has a delicate flavour that can be easily overpowered by other ingredients. But when the balance is just right, those nuanced notes sing. Both velvety-smooth pistachio praline and a sprinkling of pistachio nibs ensures you experience everything this best-loved nut has to offer. And rather than using sugar syrup, the addition of honey gives our bite-sized baklavas a subtle sweetness with real depth. To achieve the flaky filo effect of the classic dessert, you’ll find a layer of beautifully baked wafer, in each of the six chocolates, encased in high-cacao Caramel-Milk chocolate to tie the aromas, flavours and textures together.
