Lemon Drizzle Batons

If you’re a Hotel Chocolat aficionado, you’ll be familiar with our wonderful chocolate batons - ideal for sampling our different cacao percentages. After creating our classic dark, milk, and white chocolate batons, a new favour beckoned to our talented chocolatiers. While premium plain chocolate shines on its own (so long as it’s packed with high-quality cacao), they were itching to mix things up a little. And that’s how our bright and zesty Lemon Drizzle Batons arrived on the scene.

Inspired by the infamous lemon drizzle cake, these chocolate batons are brought to life by sweet lemon and comforting baked notes. Careful to avoid creating a sharp or acidic flavour, our chocolatiers have used lemon oil to deliver a true lemon profile and natural ‘Tarte au citron’ flavour. Our high-cacao white chocolate forms the base of these Lemon Drizzle Batons, allowing the subtle lemon flavour to truly shine. While other white chocolates are low in cacao and high in sugar, we wanted to keep our own white chocolate as cacao-rich as possible. This has resulted in rich, nuanced chocolate that still delivers all the lightness and creaminess that you’d expect from quality white chocolate.
