Aaah, the air fryer. It’s become a staple gadget in British kitchens, and let’s face it, we’re all a little obsessed. Whether it’s for quick dinners, crispy fries, or reheating last night’s leftovers, this wondrous machine has revolutionised the way we cook. But did you know it’s also perfect for chocolate desserts?
Yep, that’s right. Your beloved air fryer can whip up marvellous chocolate-themed treats that are not only decadent and indulgent but also ridiculously simple to make. From fluffy raspberry and white chocolate donuts to stroopwafel S’mores with a surprising kick, these easy air fryer dessert recipes are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth with minimal effort.
Whether you’re hurriedly whipping up a midweek treat, desperately need a dessert for your dinner party, or indulging in a quiet moment of culinary adventure, these recipes prove that pleasure need not be complex — sometimes, maximal indulgence comes with minimal effort…
…and high-quality chocolate, of course.

The best way to melt chocolate for your easy air fryer recipes
Since melted chocolate is a star ingredient in all of these air fryer recipes, it’s vital to get your melting method right. We recommend melting your chocolate using the bain-marie method or gently in the microwave.
Bain-Marie Method:
- Fill a small saucepan with a little water and heat it to a simmer.
- Place a heatproof bowl with your chocolate on top.
- Stir gently until the chocolate melts.
Microwave Method:
- Place your chocolate chunks or flakes in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat on low power for 20 seconds at a time.
- Stir after each burst until fully melted.
Recipe call for a chocolate ganache? If you own a Velvetiser, follow the method in our Velvetiser dessert recipes guide for a silky smooth sauce. Or, combine melted chocolate with a generous splash of warm cream (and a bit of butter if you prefer a richer texture). Stir until the mixture is completely smooth, and let it cool slightly before using it in your air fryer recipes.

Prepping your air fryer
Luckily, there’s very little you need to do to prepare for these recipes. Just take out the basket or tray first so you’ve got plenty of room to work with (cramped churros are sad churros). And while it feels obvious to say, make sure it’s clean and dry — nobody wants leftover crumbs invading their dessert.
Now, without further ado, let’s get to the desserts:
1. Tangy Raspberry Air Fryer Doughnuts with a Creamy White Chocolate Drizzle
Ever get a craving for doughnuts but don’t have the time or tools to deep fry? These decadent air fryer doughnuts are the only solution. Ideal for when you’re after a warm, comforting indulgence that doesn’t take forever to prepare. They’re fluffy, tangy, and taste every bit as good as they look.
What you’ll need:
- Shop-bought American-style pancake mix (slightly sweetened works best). Choosing an American-style mix will help to ensure your doughnuts rise and stay fluffy. If you have extra time, you can make a homemade pancake batter from scratch using eggs, flour, milk, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Silicone air fryer doughnut moulds
- Melted Madagascan Vanilla White Hot Chocolate Flakes
- Freeze-dried raspberry flakes
- Chopped pistachios and edible rose petals for decoration (optional)
Steps:
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.
- Prepare your pancake mix and add in a generous pinch of dried raspberry flakes.
- Pour your batter into your doughnut moulds.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes or until golden.
- Drizzle with your melted white chocolate, then finish off with a sprinkling of chopped pistachios and a few edible rose petals.
2. Golden Crumpet Churros with a Caramel-Milk Chocolate Dip
The idea of combining a classic Mexican dessert with an everyday British breakfast food might sound slightly bonkers, but trust us: this works.
This heavenly churro-inspired treat is ready in under ten minutes… perfect for when you’re craving something sweet but want as little prep as possible.
What you’ll need:
- Crumpets (chopped into cubes)
- A small ramekin of melted butter
- Granulated sugar
- Cinnamon (If possible, use Ceylon cinnamon as this will give your dessert a fragrant flavour that’s closer to what you’d find in traditional Mexican dishes).
- Our creamy Caramel-Milk batons, broken into chunks and melted
Steps:
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.
- Toss your crumpet cubes in the melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Arrange in the air fryer and cook for 4–8 minutes until crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.
- Serve your crumpet churros slightly cooled alongside your melted caramel milk chocolate for dipping.
3. Decadent Dark Chocolate Pastry Swirls with an Apricot Glaze
These satisfying chocolate swirls are the only air fryer pastry you need in your life. A cross between a cheat’s Pain Au Chocolat and a homemade Danish, the combination of rich dark chocolate, flaky pastry, and fruity apricot glaze makes them utterly irresistible.
What you’ll need:
- Premade puff pastry
- Dark chocolate ganache, melted using method above
- Apricot jam
- Icing sugar
Steps:
- Roll out your puff pastry and spread on the dark chocolate ganache
- Roll it up and slice it into swirls.
- Follow the air fryer cooking instructions for your puff pastry (typically 200°C for 8–10 minutes).
- While cooking, prepare your glaze by combining your apricot jam with your icing sugar. A good starting point is about 3 tablespoons of apricot jam to every 1/4 cup of icing sugar, though you can adjust this to your taste. If the glaze mixture is too thick to spread easily, add a few drops of water or a splash of lemon juice. This not only thins the glaze but also brightens the flavour.
- Once your swirls are out of the oven and cool to touch, brush them with the apricot glaze and serve with a dollop of cream or crème fraîche.
4. Creamy Milk Chocolate and Strawberry Pancake Stacks
This dreamy, no-fuss dessert pairs light mini pancakes with rich, melted milk chocolate and fresh strawberries. Ideal for when you crave indulgence without any complicated steps.
What you’ll need:
- Prebought mini pancakes
- Melted milk chocolate flakes
- Chopped strawberries — thin slices work best
- Icing sugar (for dusting)
- Optional: roughly chopped hazelnuts, for extra crunch
Steps:
- Toast or gently warm your mini pancakes in the air fryer.
- Stack the pancakes, generously layering each one with your melted milk chocolate and chopped strawberries.
- Finish with a light dusting of icing sugar and a sprinkling of hazelnuts, if desired.

5. Air-Fried Bananas with Salted Caramel Chocolate and Chopped Pecans
For a slightly healthier air-fryer treat, try these gooey, caramelised bananas. They combine sweet, caramelised fruit with a luscious drizzle of salted caramel chocolate and an oh-so-satisfying crunch from the chopped pecans. They also make a fantastic barbecue recipe that both kids and adults will adore.
What you’ll need:
- Bananas (halved lengthwise, skins on)
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon (Ceylon or Cassia)
- Melted Salted Caramel chocolate flakes
- Chopped pecans (or swap for peanuts, hazelnuts, or pistachios)
- Parchment paper or air fryer liners
Steps:
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
- Combine your brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Line the air fryer with your parchment paper, then place the bananas cut side up and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
- Air fry for about 10 minutes or until the bananas are beautifully caramelised.
