We’re a nation of biscuit lovers – that’s no secret. In fact, over 99% of households in the UK buy biscuits, which is why we decided to make our own, except our biscuits are a little more indulgent, a little more luxurious, and a lot more chocolatey.
Our Biscuits of the Gods range lets you view biscuits in a way you’ve never thought of before – who said biscuits had to be boring? Celebrate World Biscuit Day this May with our Biscuit of the Gods selection – although we think biscuits should be celebrated all year around!
Why Biscuits of the Gods?
We’ve made luxury biscuits before; our Chocolate Biscuit Tin is filled with our favourite nano slabs and three flavours of shortbread biscuits for a crunchy, melty feast. Whilst they’re already decadent, we wanted to create a new style of biscuits; one which boasts pure indulgence.
The cacao tree’s botanical name is Theobroma cacao, which translates as “cocoa, food of the gods.” To make sure our biscuits of the gods are worthy of their title, we had to harness years of chocolate knowledge in a bid to create the world’s best chocolate biscuit. The result? Our Chocolat Pillows, the chocolate biscuit that puts chocolate first.
Imagine a crisp, perfectly baked biscuit base. Our Chocolat Pillows are one part biscuit to three parts chocolate, filled with a luxurious creme filling and drenched in our premium chocolate. One is never enough, so we’ve made sure each biscuit snaps satisfyingly into two opulent pillows, so that you have double the treat to snack on.
Nothing beats a hot drink alongside a chocolate biscuit, whether you’re alone and curled up on the couch, catching up with a friend or adding a little something special to family time. Put the kettle on and make a steaming mug of your favourite drink, let the Chocolat Pillows melt in your mouth and escape from the world for a little while.
Four irresistible flavours
When you crack open our cacao-pod embossed biscuit tin, you’ll find our Chocolat pillows individually wrapped to keep the flavour as fresh as the day they were made.
Maybe choose a classic milk chocolate to start, with its 40% cocoa shell encasing a chocolate creme, or sink your teeth into the hazelnut pillow, which perfectly balances our not-too-sweet 50% milk chocolate with a satisfyingly deep, smooth nut filling. For a maltier, warming touch, our buttery caramel creme with a tingle of Guérande sea salt is smothered in our caramel chocolate, all complemented by the delectable crunch of the biscuit base. If you’re looking for something a little more bitter to complement an espresso or black coffee, our 70% dark chocolate enrobes a Tasmanian peppermint creme.
Share them with friends and family or stash them at the back of the cupboard for when you need a little escapism, and when you’re done, fill the reusable tin with your own home-baked chocolate biscuits – or even with your favourite chocolate morsels. We’ve promised to make all our packaging reusable or recyclable by 2021,
