How the club works

Try our Introductory Selections – we’ll deliver it to you at the special Introductory Price (including postage) for the offer you have chosen. You may also receive a FREE gift depending on the offer taken.
2 - Taste
Discover what it’s all about in the comfort of your own home by tasting our most exciting chocolates.
3 - Decide
You can then continue and become a Tasting Club member with all-new selections regularly available, or end it all there and then. If you do continue and ever wish to swap between selections – you can do that too!

Join the Chocolate Tasting Club

How do I join the club?
It's easy, just click here to select your Introductory Chocolate Selection and to join the Chocolate Tasting Club.
How do I activate/register my membership online if I am not already registered?
To Register and activate your online account please click here. On the Activation page you can enter your membership number and activation key. Your introductory box invoice will contain both of these numbers (which are also on the membership card sent to you after your second box). Once your online account is activated you will be able to manage your chocolate selections, deliveries, payments, score the chocolates and buy our special collections online.
How do I know if my enrolment into the club has been accepted?
As soon as you have completed the online activation an on-screen message will advise whether or not you have been successful. In addition to this, an email will be sent to the email address you registered with.

Managing your account

How do I manage my membership?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member.
Why can’t I log in to the website?
Go to the log in screen. Enter you email address and password (if you can’t remember it there is a link below to help you out). If you have not got an account online you are able to register on the left hand side of the page.
How do I see my regular selections?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then hover over the your name in the top header panel and click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member. On the top navigation click on the My Regular Selections link – that page will give you all the information on your regular boxes.
How do I delay my next box?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member. On the top navigation click on the My Regular Selections link – that page will give you all the information on your regular boxes. You will then see a link saying edit next to your delivery frequency, click this and from there you will be able to see a drop down of options delaying your next box. We ask you to let us know within 10 days of receipt of your Tasting Box if you would like to change the frequency of your boxes, delay the next one, or cancel completely. Provided you do this, your options will be changed immediately. If, however, your next box has already been processed when we receive your changed options, then we will contact you to let you know, and we will apply the changes from the following month. If for any reason you should wish to cancel your Regular Selection go to My Regular Selections click edit Delivery Frequency and then Cancel this Regular Selection.
How do I change my selection delivery address?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member. On the top navigation click on the My Regular Selections link – that page will give you all the information on your regular boxes. You will then see a link saying edit next to your delivery address. Select this link and you will then be taken to a page where you are able to edit your delivery address for this selection.
How do I transfer between selections?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member. On the top navigation click on the My Regular Selections link – that page will give you all the information on your regular boxes. At the bottom of this page you will see additional regular selections you can join by hitting ‘try this selection’. This will add you to an additional monthly selection. To then cancel your existing club you can do this by selecting the delivery frequency edit button. You will then be taken to a page which shows a Cancel this Regular Selection link in the bottom right hand corner. Select this and continue through cancellation process.
How do I see my special collections?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member. On the top navigation click on the ‘My Special Collections’ link – that page will give you all the information on your special collections as well those available for future reservation.
How do I score the selections?
Firstly, click on the log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. Then click on the ‘Manage My Tasting Club’ links, this can be done by clicking on either the drop down when you hover over your name at the top of the page or the left hand side on the My Account page. From there you will be taken to the ‘My Club Page’ and also see the top navigation has recognised you as a Tasting Club Member. On the top navigation click on the Score My Chocolates link – that page will give you all the information on your regular boxes you have received. You will then see a page with all the chocolates form that selection which you are bale to score from 1 to 5, enter comments and submit.
If I score my chocolates late, will my scores still be counted?
Yes, every score is included. If the box you are scoring has already been finalised for the Chocolatier of the Month award, then your scores will be included towards the Chocolatier of the Year, which is awarded in December. Your membership number will automatically go into the next prize draw, whenever you score!
What do you actually do with my scores?
We keep a record of all the scores returned to us by members. At the end of the month, we then award the coveted Chocolatier of the Month prize to the winner, and we give a selection of your comments back to all the Chocolatiers. All scores are also entered into the Chocolatier of the Year award, and of course, a summary is published in the Pod so that you can compare your own scores with the club results.
How do I update my personal details online?
Log in at the top of this page to enter into the website. You will then be taken to ‘my account area’ of the website. From there you will see a number of options in the left side menu, including those specific to your Managing Your Tasting Club
How do I update my card details?

Why can’t I log in to the website?
At the top of the screen click ‘Login’ to go to the My Account log in screen and enter your email address and password. If you are a registered online customer but can’t remember your password please use the ‘Forgotten Password?’ link or click here. If you do not yet have an online account please use the register as a new customer option on the left of the screen.

Member’s benefits

What does a membership card entitle me to?
With a membership card you will be able to receive a 5% discount in any of our stores. You can also quote the numbers over the phone to receive your discount, our use them to activate your membership online. Once you have done this you will automatically receive your 5% discount for your online orders with Hotel Chocolat.
How do I get my membership card?
Firstly, we send you the Introductory Selection so that you can try our chocolates. You are under no obligation to continue after this point, but if you do agree to receive further selections and become a member then we will send your Membership Card at the same time as your next selection. You will get a separate letter including your card and are then entitled to receive a 5% discount on HC purchases online, on the phone, by post or in our stores. If you have redeemed a Tasting Club subscription of 3, 6 or 12 months you will not have to wait until you your second selection and will get your membership card around the same time as your first selection.

Delivery

Do I have to receive a box every month?
No. Unique selections are created every 4 weeks, but you can change the frequency with which you receive your tasting box whenever you want to.
Can I have my Tasting Boxes sent to a different address?
Yes you can. Many customers prefer to have their boxes delivered to their work address, for example, and have the invoice delivered to their homes. Simply change the delivery address online or let us know on your payment form.
Can I have the box on a specific date?
We cannot arrange delivery on a specific day. Your box is always sent to you at either 4, 8 or 12 week intervals. If you ask to delay your box until a specific month, then we send the box at the beginning of the month you have requested. You can also ask us to send your next box after a specific date.
What are delivery options for the UK?
We offer delivery to all addresses within the UK. As our chocolates are shipped from our central European despatch unit in Switzerland, we ask our members to allow 12 days for the delivery to arrive
What are delivery options for the EU?
The Chocolate Tasting Club is currently available in Norway and Sweden. However, different product options are available and currently you cannot order from this website for more information on how to order in Sweden please visit our Swedish website www.smakachoklad.se and for Norway please visit our Norwegian website www.smakesjokolade.no.
What are delivery options for the US?
We are currently reviewing our delivery process to the United States. Please contact our customer service team for more details.
What Delivery Restrictions are there?
We can not guarantee a specific delivery date for Chocolate Tasting Club selections; we have to allow between 5 to 10 working days.
Can I send your chocolates to a BFPO address?
I’m afraid we are unable to send Chocolate Tasting Club products to BFPO addresses.

Regular Chocolate Selections

Are there any selections that just have dark/milk/white chocolates in them?
Our Classic selections include a variety of milk, dark and white chocolates and are for those who love to embrace the full range of chocolate genres. We also have Dark selections for those who tastes run deeper and darker. These selections are brimming with uncompromising dark recipes high in cocoa solids.
Do you offer any alcohol-free boxes?
Yes - Our Mellow Chocolate selections are always completely alcohol-free.
Are any of the selections nut-free/dairy-free/gluten-free?
Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee that any tasting selections are nut free as they are all produced in an environment where nuts are present and may therefore contain minute traces of nut oil. Similarly traces of dairy or wheat may be found in our products. Dark selections will be comprised of dark chocolate only, but some of the fillings may contain cream or other dairy products.

Specials Chocolate Selections

What are the club’s Special Collections?
In addition to the various monthly selections members are also entitled to receive exclusive Special Collections. One of these is the Chocolatier Excellence Collection, which contains the highest scoring chocolates from the past year. We also make seasonal boxes such as the Christmas Collections and Easter Collections. All of these are made-to-order, and are strictly for members only!
How do I pay, order Special Collections or change my delivery arrangements?
You can do all of this once you have logged in, under the Manage my Membership area. You will need your membership number and activation key the first time you do this, which you will be printed on your invoice. If you choose to continue with the club you will also receive a membership card with these numbers at your fingertips for easy reference!
How do I add a voucher to my Special?
In order to add a voucher to your Chocolate Tasting Club special selection, please visit www.tastingclub.co.uk, log in, and then click on 'Manage my Membership'. This can be found at the top of the screen. You shall then need to click on which ‘Special’ selection you wish to order and then ‘Redeem Your Code’ this shall then automatically deducted the voucher of the selection once has been despatched.

Payment, Vouchers and Discounts

Is the cost of the box the same every month?
Yes - The current standard price for all regular Chocolate Tasting selections £22.95. (The price for previous Regular selections may differ)
Which payment methods do you accept?
The easiest payment method is by Autodebit from your Credit or Debit card. If paying for selections on receipt you can pay for them by credit/debit card, cheque or postal order. Payments can be made online, by telephone or by post. If you wish to make a payment or switch to Autodebit please click here to go to log in to your account.
Can I pay by automatic debit of my payment card?
If you paid online by Autodebit or signed section a) on the How to Pay section of your invoice we will automatically debit your account each time you receive a Regular Selection tasting box. Your instruction will continue as long as you remain a member of the club. Paying by Autodebit saves the bother of writing cheques and ensure you get every box you want, when you want it!
How do I update my card details?
To update your personal details you will first need to have registered and activated on the website. See FAQ above ‘How do activate/register my membership online?’ To update your Auto Debit card details first visit www.chocs.co.uk and log in with your registered email address and password. Once signed in you will need to select ‘Manage My Membership’ at the top of the page. This will take you to a new page and if you scroll to the bottom of this you will see information about your Regular Club Selections. Clicking on ‘Make Changes’ next to this will take you through to the section where you can update your card details.
How do I add a voucher to my Special?
In order to add a voucher to your Chocolate Tasting Club special selection, please visit www.tastingclub.co.uk, log in, and then click on 'Manage my Membership'. This can be found at the top of the screen.
