Our Planet

Engaged Ethics

Guided by three unwavering pillars, Originality, Authenticity and Ethics, it’s in our DNA to do the right thing through ethical behaviour and innovation.

We’re constantly striving to minimise our environmental impact by engaging directly with our customers, our team, our suppliers and external experts.

Why? Because we care about our planet, and we want to leave it in a better state than we found it.

This requires a long-term approach. We’ve started putting ours into practice already, and we’ll keep improving it, re-evaluating our priorities as new science, materials and technology come to light.

Our Planet Pledge

We laid out our very first Planet Pledge in 2017/18, targeting that 100% of our packaging would be compostable, recyclable or reusable by 2021.

We are currently over 90% of the way towards this goal, constantly re-evaluating our priorities and upgrading our practices as new science, materials and technology come to light. We’ve pushed ourselves to improve our existing sustainable packaging, and made important progress in updating the rest of our range.

Major strides have been made, but there is still more to do and complexities to overcome. To allow ourselves the room to make informed, thoughtful and ethical actions, we’ve extended this commitment to making 100% of our packaging recyclable or reusable by 2022 – if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

The UK Government has committed to the UK being Net Zero Carbon by 2050. In support of this, we are pledging to work towards making our direct operations Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It’s a tall order, but one we are committed to fulfilling as a business.

We’re constantly striving to do more for our planet, especially in these areas:
