Cherry Bakewells originated in a quaint Derbyshire town. Though these treats go by many names — cakes, tarts and pies to name a few — the jam and frangipane filled pastry cases were originally known as Bakewell puddings. Whichever name you go by, these delicious bakes are a staple in British desserts. And now we’ve added a Hotel Chocolat twist.
Each bitesize pud is brimming with high-cacao white chocolate for an irresistible, melt-in-the-mouth texture. Combined with delicate almond notes reminiscent of marzipan and a dash of juicy cherry, the traditional flavours of the cherry Bakewell come alive in chocolate form.
We’re pleased to say our Cherry Bakewells look the part, too. A milk chocolate cup lends each Bakewell a sophisticated style and the vibrant fruity swirl really is the cherry on top. Striking to look at and delicious to eat, these morsels are all-around winners.
