If you’re partial to a creamy espresso martini (or know someone who is), our take on the classic cocktail offers a whole new, deeply chocolatey interpretation that requires absolutely no mixology skills whatsoever. Simply shake, then pour over ice into a long-stemmed glass and enjoy.
Our chocolatiers tested each of our signature chocolate grades to find the one that allowed the coffee notes to shine best – and our astonishingly creamy house white chocolate, with 36% cacao butter, was the clear winner. We melted it into warming vodka, folded it into cream, and finally lifted it with a punch of coffee for a creamy espresso martini quite unlike any you’ve tasted before.
This 500ml bottle is crafted using 50% recycled glass and features a beautifully tactile wave pattern inspired by the melding and folding process of velvetising. It’ll be equally as at home on display in your drinks cabinet as it is placed at the centre of the table at your next dinner party. The elegant presentation also makes it a thoughtful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or to bring along to thank your host.
It was our obsession with cacao that led to the creation of our Velvetised Creams. We invented the original recipe at our Saint Lucian cacao farm and bar, Rabot Estate. It was here, surrounded by cacao amongst the lush Caribbean landscape that our chocolatiers set out to craft the ultimate take on chocolate liqueur. They experimented for months until they discovered the alchemy of chocolate and vodka. You see, vodka has the ability to lift and harmonise with cacao’s delicate notes, rather than overpower them, as some spirits do.
With that, our original Velvetised Cream was born. From there, our chocolatiers crafted a series of curated recipes, including Salted Caramel and this chocolatey take on a classic – Espresso Martini Velvetised Cream.
