Wine and chocolate might not be the most common combination, but we struggle to understand why. Rich and spicy oak-aged red wine pairs beautifully with the deep fruity notes of our indulgent dark chocolate, resulting in a taste like no other. 

We wanted to use nothing but the best for this recipe, and so we cracked open our estate-bottled vintage Chateau Chocolat – a red wine crafted in Portugal from heirloom grapes Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira. It takes four years for them to make their journey from grape to wine: each varietal is aged in oak as its own wine, then blended and aged again.

To bring out the tannins in the wine, we whipped our red with 62% Brazilian Macae dark chocolate.
