Kids’ chocolate party

There’s nothing children love more than chocolate, so a chocolate party is perfect for kids. Whether it’s for a birthday or just for fun, kids are bound to adore getting messy with the good stuff and eating lots of it!

Kids adore spending time in the kitchen when chocolate is involved, so we recommend including a little baking in a kids’ chocolate party. If you’re hosting this party for small kids, something simple like chocolate cornflake cakes would be perfect. However, if you’re hosting the party for slightly older kids, you could go for something a little more advanced. Why not go for a nice big chocolate cake or double-chocolate cookies?

If helping kids bake sounds a little stressful to you, you could always skip that part and get straight to decorating. Buy some plain chocolate cupcakes and let the little ones go wild with chocolate icing, hundreds and thousands, sweets, and more!

If hosting a kids’ chocolate party in your own home seems a little daunting to you, we can help. We offer Children’s Chocolate Workshops at our London and Leeds locations that are suitable for kids between the ages of five and thirteen. During these workshops, kids learn all about chocolate and how it’s made, get some tips on decorating chocolate like a pro, get a 10% discount in the shop all day, and take home their decorated slab and a goody bag. We guarantee it’ll put a big smile on all kids’ faces.

Chocolate fondue

We believe that no good party is complete without a little fondue. In fact, we believe that some parties should be centred around them! For the best fondue night possible, you’ll need dark, milk, and white chocolate so your guests can experience their favourite choc in luxurious melted form, as well as a variety of salty snacks, fruit, and sweet goodies to dip in.

However, setting up a chocolate fondue set – and cleaning it afterwards – can be a chore. We make hosting extra-easy with our Large Chocolate Dipping Adventure. It features four pots of melting chocolate and a huge array of salty and sweet treats to dunk in. A few minutes in the microwave, and this dipping adventure has all you need to become the perfect host of a chocolate fondue party.

We also offer a more petite version, our Mini Chocolate Dipping Adventure for Two. It’s perfect if you’re hosting a date night or having a catch up with a friend. Featuring two pots of melting chocolate and plenty of snacks, we think this is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day or your anniversary.

Chocolate invitations

If you’re planning an exciting party, you need invitations that will grab everyone’s attention. The best way to do this? By making them edible!

Giving invitations in chocolate form is sure to make your party exciting before it’s even begun. You’ll find lots of chocolate invitations online, but we think making your own will be even more fun.

Get some plain chocolate, like our 40% Milk Chocolate Slab or our 85% Dark Chocolate Slab, and draw on the party details in some colourful edible pens. We think they’ll be the best invites your guests will have ever received!

Chocolate tasting

If you’re looking for a classy party idea but feel that wine-tasting has been a little overdone, a chocolate tasting party is a perfect solution. Get a range of different chocolates, break them up into small pieces, and let everyone have a taste. Make sure the pieces aren’t too big, or your guests might get full! To make it even more interesting, you can get guests to guess information about the chocolate such as where it’s from and what percentage chocolate it is. We’ve gone into more detail in our blog on how to host a chocolate tasting here.

Our Rare and Vintage Chocolate collection is perfect for such an event. From our Nicaragua 55% Malted Milk Chocolate to our Colombia 75% Coffee Dark Chocolate, this collection features twelve bars of chocolate from different countries and with varying cacao percentages – perfect for a guessing game.

If you want to take the stress out of planning a chocolate tasting evening, you could simply book onto one of our Virtual Tasting Events. Hosted live by a chocolate expert, this event will allow you to dive head first into the world of chocolate. You’ll learn about it, taste it, and talk about it with your friends and family. Once you’ve booked onto the event, we’ll send each guest an Everything H-Box, which is what they’ll be tasting during the evening. From our Eton Mess chocolate to our Dizzy Praline, this box features our most popular milk, white, and dark chocolates so you’ll get a taste of all different types of the good stuff.

Chocolate cocktails

No party is quite as glamorous as a cocktail party. We might be biased, but we think cocktail parties that involve chocolate are the best kind. From a Chocolate Martini to a Mudslide, there are countless gorgeous chocolate cocktails to savour. We make it even easier by offering a selection of stunning tipples.

If you want to spare yourself some hassle, you could make things extra easy by getting our Velvetised Espresso Martini Cream Liqueur and serving over ice. However, if you’d rather rustle up some cocktails from scratch, we recommend using our Cocoa Gin or Salted Caramel Vodka Liqueur. If you’re planning on making Bellinis or any other prosecco cocktail, take a look at our 75cl Classic Prosecco. Refreshing and fruity, it pairs very well with milk and white chocolate, making it a great choice when you’re rustling up some chocolate cocktails.

Chocolate Parties

We hope these ideas will help you plan your next great party. Whether it’s a birthday, a big anniversary, or any other special occasion, we think a chocolate party is the best way to celebrate.
