Top Five Valentine's Day Experiences
- FOLLOW US ON TWITTER
Flowers wilt, Champagne goes flat, cards are recycled, but a Valentine’s Day experience will be ear-marked in their memory forever.
Make less-sweet, high-cocoa chocolate together, direct from the bean, unwind with a spa night in in, or go as far as Saint Lucia, and get to the roots of chocolate making on our flourishing cocoa estate. Watch the sun sink behind the iconic Piton Mountains displaying a sky full of vivid colour from our hotel terrace.
These top five experiences will stratospherically notch up those brownie points. Points which will stretch way beyond Valentine’s Day…
1. Say it with a chocolate adventure
Valentine’s Day, February 14th
Where? Cocoa Vaults, Covent Garden or Chocolate Metropolis, Leeds.
Tasting Adventure by day, 3-4.30pm
Rose petals, rosé and real chocolate. Love chocolate? See the origin of chocolate made from the heart of the bean, the nib. Fermented and roasted, the flavour is transformed, it sparked a love affair with cocoa which spans back to the Mayans. By candlelight clink a glass of our Sparkling Pink Rosé, harvested from the Dolomite foothills.
Do they love chocolate? Try our Tasting Adventure
Bean-to-Bar by night, 7-8.30pm
When the lights go down. Discover the history of the original aphrodisiac – chocolate. Get hands on and make your own from beans grown on our Saint Lucian plantation. Try our roasted cocoa beans, with a malted edge, then transform it into your own chocolate bar all wrapped up and ribbon-tied in a goody bag.
Raise the bar. Handmade together from our cocoa beans.
2. Table for two: Rabot 1745
Want a night out with a delicate cocoa twist? As growers in Saint Lucia we’ve got to know the bean, inside out. Our French chefs exploit the best parts for each dish, the husk infuses our award-winning Cocoa Gin, lychee-like pulp is a delicate side to salmon and roasted nibs lend a malty edge to desserts and distinctive marinades.
A plantation house in the heart of London
Our cocoa estate was first established in 1745, and we transport that feel to the heart of London with the natural edge of a Caribbean plantation house. Take your seat on our heated terrace overlooking the bustle of London’s oldest food market, Borough. Beyond dinner shared, a walk beside the glittering river Thames? Romance is on our doorstep.
Lights, cameras, spoons
