Breakfast Martini Chocolate Selector

Who said that martinis aren’t for breakfast? Our Breakfast Martini Selector will delight any chocolate lover that adores a dash of tipple with their cacao creations. Say hello to an exquisite combination of our very own Cacao Gin, Cointreau, lemon oil, bitter orange oil, and cacao-rich white chocolate. The result is a heavenly, citrus-laced boozy ganache encased in a fabulous white chocolate hexagon. It’s as indulgent as it is picturesque.

Our Breakfast Martini Selector was inspired by our chocolatier’s rather amusing trip to New York with her family. When her mother ordered a Breakfast Martini she was surprised to find it actually contained alcohol. She assumed it was called this to indicate it didn’t contain any alcohol — and was therefore fit for a guilt-free breakfast! In reality, the cocktail packs quite a punch.

As an ode to this fabulous anecdote, we’ve topped these martini chocolates with candied orange peel. It represents the dollop of marmalade that was added to the cocktail shaker that fateful morning.

We thought our Cacao Gin would be the ideal booze base for our Breakfast Martini Selector. To create our Cacao Gin we took London gin and infused it with cacao for a malty, toasted edge. Five botanicals, including macadamia, juniper, coriander, orange and grapefruit give a fragrant and uplifting finish, expressing both depth and high notes. While there is only a dash of gin in this selector, you can certainly taste the quality and complex palate of the sublime spirit involved.
