We think we’ve balanced the flavours just right to create an incredibly elegant chocolate.
Soft fondant is the best way to let the floral flavours of rose and violet shine. These aromatic flavours evoke memories of breathing in all the honeyed scents of a garden in the height of summer. Slightly perfumed without being overpowering, our Rose & Violet Cremes Selector are the ideal indulgence to enjoy on a hot, sunny day alongside a glass of elderflower cordial.
To temper the sweetness of our fondant, we’ve coated these selectors in dark chocolate: the bitter, deep notes of cocoa help to bring out the fragrant tastes of rose and violet. We decided to use 60% cocoa solids to ensure the delicate floral flavours weren’t overshadowed by bold cocoa flavours, instead opting for a lighter dark chocolate which leaves the nuanced notes of the cocoa bean on your tongue even after you’ve finished.
Created in the late 1800s, rose and violet cremes have been a staple British confectionary since the Victorian era. These distinctive flavours are going strong to this day, and we’re proud to have created our own version of this classic.
