Objective of role

  • Help to maximise sales for the store and across wider channels
  • Provide First Class customer experience
  • Take responsibility with the store manager for achieving store KPIs
  • Carry out stock management and store operation processes to help minimise risk and costs
  • Grow personally and professionally as part of a dynamic business


  • Manage the store in the absence of the store manager, with full responsibility for sales, costs, guest experience, risk and staff management
  • Deputise for the manager as required at company events
  • Understand the company’s business objectives and brand values, and play an active part in delivering them

Guest Experience

  • Deliver world class service in store which will engage our guests and deliver on our mystery shop programmes.
  • Be a Brand ambassador and develop your team to be so.
  • Ensure all of the team are in line with the brand values and positioning.


  • Support the store manager as required in administrative matters, eg, rotas, reporting
  • Take responsibility for key aspects of store operation as required, eg, stock deliveries, tasting events, health & safetyAct as an appointed First Aider
  • Carry out regular store operational duties

Finance and Commerciality

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to meet and exceed the store’s targets
  • Optimise sales through effective customer experience and selling techniques
  • Optimise conversion through effective merchandising and presentation of the store
  • Report on performance as required

People Management

  • Coach, support and develop junior members of the store team
  • Take responsibility for personal development and actively seek opportunities for improvement

Experience Required

  • Minimum of one year of retail management experience , ideally with a prestige brand

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Minimum of one year in a retail sales environment, ideally with a prestige brand
  • Minimum of 6 months key holder responsibility
  • Understanding of store targets and the drivers behind them
  • Sound judgement with confident decision-making
  • Ability to implement procedural change
  • Ability to coach and give feedback effectively
  • Assertive, confident communication
  • IT literacy with a basic understanding of Excel, MS Outlook and internet desirable
