| An elegant, creamy, custard-like chocolate dessert, beautifully served in a large wine or martini glass, garnished with fresh berries. Impress your dinner party guests with this piece de resistance.
Ingredients
- 4oz Liquid Chocolat of your choice
- 2fl oz Whole milk
- 2fl oz Heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
- Fresh berries for garnish (optional)
Microwave
- Pour the cream and milk into a microwave-safe bowl and heat on high until simmering.
- Place the Liquid Chocolat in another microwave-safe bowl. Pour over a third of the hot cream and milk and allow to sit a few minutes. Then whisk gently until smooth, gradually adding the rest of the cream and milk.
- Microwave the mixture on 50% power for 2 minutes, then stir. Repeat until it becomes a lusciously thick soup.
- Allow to cool slightly. Serve in wine glasses - by itself for a delicious purist chocolate experience or top with fresh berries for added tang and pizzazz.
Stove top:
- Pour the cream and milk into a heatproof bowl. Gently heat the bowl over a pan of boiling water (double-boiler) until it begins to simmer.
- Place the Liquid Chocolat in another heatproof bowl. Pour in a third of the hot cream and milk and allow to sit for a few minutes. Whisk gently until smooth, gradually adding the rest of the cream and milk.
- Return bowl to the double-boiler, stirring until it becomes a lusciously thick soup.
- Allow to cool slightly. Serve in wine glasses - by itself for a delicious purist chocolate experience or top with fresh berries for added tang and pizzazz.
