Chocolate Crema

An elegant, creamy, custard-like chocolate dessert, beautifully served in a large wine or martini glass, garnished with fresh berries. Impress your dinner party guests with this piece de resistance.

Ingredients
4oz Liquid Chocolat of your choice
2fl oz Whole milk
2fl oz Heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
Fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Microwave:
1. Pour the cream and milk into a microwave-safe bowl and heat on high until simmering.
2. Place the Liquid Chocolat in another microwave-safe bowl. Pour over a third of the hot cream and milk and allow to sit a few minutes. Then whisk gently until smooth, gradually adding the rest of the cream and milk.
3. Microwave the mixture on 50% power for 2 minutes, then stir. Repeat until it becomes a lusciously thick soup.
4. Allow to cool slightly. Serve in wine glasses - by itself for a delicious purist chocolate experience or top with fresh berries for added tang and pizzazz.

Stovetop:

1. Pour the cream and milk into a heatproof bowl. Gently heat the bowl over a pan of boiling water (double-boiler) until it begins to simmer.
2. Place the Liquid Chocolat in another heatproof bowl. Pour in a third of the hot cream and milk and allow to sit for a few minutes. Whisk gently until smooth, gradually adding the rest of the cream and milk.
3. Return bowl to the double-boiler, stirring until it becomes a lusciously thick soup.
4. Allow to cool slightly. Serve in wine glasses - by itself for a delicious purist chocolate experience or top with fresh berries for added tang and pizzazz.
